Thermography

ThermographyThermography is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to 'see' and 'measure' thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermal, or infrared energy, is light that is not visible because its wavelength is too long to be detected by the human eye; it's the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we perceive as heat. Unlike visible light, in the infrared world, everything with a temperature above absolute zero emits heat. Even very cold objects, like ice cubes, emit infrared. The higher the object's temperature, the greater the IR radiation emitted. Infrared allows us to see what our eyes cannot.

ThermographyOne of our experienced consultants will visit your home. Extensive images will be taken of both the front and back of your home. A comprehensive report is produced, identifying major areas which are leaking energy. Weaknesses of your building will also be reported. This information will put you in the driving seat for How to Save Money immediately!

A report on our findings will let you know exactly where to stop leaks in the future - Saving Money every time. The aim of the report is to provide you with the knowledge to make informed decisions about one of your most expensive assets, your home.

Did You Know?

Britain has the oldest housing stock in the developed world with 8.5 million properties over 60 years old! Housing energy use is responsible for 27% of the UK's CO2 emissions. Our current rate of building new energy efficient homes is low compared to the size of the existing stock, which means that approximately 70% of our current inefficient housing will still be in use in 2050. If we are to meet the Government target of an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050 and avoid fuel poverty for many people we will need to significantly improve the energy efficiency of our existing housing stock by radical, large scale sustainable refurbishment.

Sustainable refurbishment of housing is not easy. Nearly half the UK's housing is 'hard to treat', e.g. it has solid walls and/or no loft space. It is often difficult to know what to do to achieve the best outcome; especially if you have limited funds. Thermadetect Ltd is here to help guide you!
